Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9-inch baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries and peaches with lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Toss until coated.
- Transfer the fruit mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Streusel Topping
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, salt, and nutmeg.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumbly topping evenly over the fruit layer.
Baking
- Bake for about 30–35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and fruit bubbles.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can add a drizzle of honey or nuts for extra flavor.
