Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese with both sugars until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
Mixing and Baking
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Gently fold in the blueberries and any optional ingredients like white chocolate chips or lemon zest.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set but still soft.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
These cookies can be enjoyed fresh out of the oven or stored in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also freeze the dough or baked cookies for later use.
