Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 0.25 cups cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 0.75 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • 1 cups fresh or frozen blueberries Do not thaw if frozen.
  • 0.5 cups white chocolate chips Optional.
  • 1 tsp lemon zest Optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese with both sugars until light and fluffy, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
Mixing and Baking
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined. Avoid overmixing.
  2. Gently fold in the blueberries and any optional ingredients like white chocolate chips or lemon zest.
  3. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set but still soft.
  5. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

These cookies can be enjoyed fresh out of the oven or stored in an airtight container for up to a week. You can also freeze the dough or baked cookies for later use.
