Method
 

Jam Preparation
  1. In a large pot, combine the chopped rhubarb, apples, sugar, water, and lemon juice.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring frequently to prevent sticking.
  3. Once at a boil, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Watch for the mixture to thicken to your liking, then remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Pour the jam into sterilized jars, seal them, and store.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to three weeks or can using a hot water bath method for longer storage, extending up to a year. Always check seals and store in a cool, dry place.
