Ingredients

For the Fish Bites
  • 1 lb white fish fillets (like cod or tilapia) You can substitute with haddock, perch, or other firm white fish.
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 lemon juiced and zested For added flavor.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko works great) For extra crunch.
For the Garlic Aioli
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice For the aioli.
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the fish fillets into bite-sized pieces—think about two or three bites each.
  3. Season them with salt and pepper to enhance their natural flavor.
  4. In a bowl, blend the melted butter, lemon juice, and zest for that delicious citrus kick.
Coating and Baking
  1. Individually dip each fish piece into the lemon butter, then coat it with breadcrumbs for that lovely crunch.
  2. Arrange the coated fish on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  3. Bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden and cooked through.
Making the Garlic Aioli
  1. Combine the minced garlic, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard in a small bowl and mix until smooth.
Serving
  1. Serve the hot fish bites drizzled with garlic aioli on top, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For heartier meals, serve with a side salad or crispy oven fries. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days and reheat in the oven for best results.
