Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-low heat. Toss in the sliced onions and cook slowly for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until caramelized and golden. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste, then set aside.
- Slice the sweet dinner rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected at the back.
Assembly
- On a baking sheet, place the bottom half of the rolls. Layer half of the cheddar cheese slices evenly over them.
- Spread the barbecue sauce over the cheese.
- Arrange the sliced roast beef evenly over the barbecue sauce, then dollop the caramelized onions on top.
- Add the remaining cheddar cheese slices, then place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with everything-style seasoning.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden.
- Once baked, slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
Notes
For a creative twist, consider using different cheeses, adding sautéed bell peppers, or trying a different type of meat. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to three days or frozen for longer storage. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
