Slider Ingredients
  • 1 package sweet dinner rolls (12-count)
  • 1 pound sliced roast beef
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 12 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon everything-style seasoning
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-low heat. Toss in the sliced onions and cook slowly for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until caramelized and golden. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste, then set aside.
  3. Slice the sweet dinner rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected at the back.
Assembly
  1. On a baking sheet, place the bottom half of the rolls. Layer half of the cheddar cheese slices evenly over them.
  2. Spread the barbecue sauce over the cheese.
  3. Arrange the sliced roast beef evenly over the barbecue sauce, then dollop the caramelized onions on top.
  4. Add the remaining cheddar cheese slices, then place the top half of the rolls over the filling.
  5. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with everything-style seasoning.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden.
  2. Once baked, slice into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

For a creative twist, consider using different cheeses, adding sautéed bell peppers, or trying a different type of meat. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to three days or frozen for longer storage. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
