  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Optional, for added crunch

  • Cooked rice or noodles For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts into the crockpot, creating a comfortable little nest for them.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and minced ginger until well combined.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot, ensuring each piece is nicely coated.
  4. If using, sprinkle the broccoli florets on top of the chicken.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and can be easily shredded.
  2. Serve the chicken with the sauce on a bed of rice or noodles.

Notes

For an upgraded flavor, garnish with sesame seeds or green onions. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for longer storage. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
