Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- Once done, drain the pasta and let it cool.
Mixing Ingredients
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and freshly chopped basil.
Preparing the Dressing
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and toss gently until everything is coated.
Chilling and Serving
- Pop the completed salad in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Stir before serving and consider adding a splash of balsamic vinegar to refresh the dressing.
