  • 1 lb ground beef Can be replaced with turkey or chicken.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup long-grain rice, uncooked
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.75 oz
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Can use Monterey Jack or pepper jack for extra flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of oil and cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is nicely browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the uncooked rice, beef broth, and mushroom soup. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika, and bring to a boil. Then, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture into your prepared baking dish. Cover it with aluminum foil.
Baking
  1. Bake covered for about 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil, sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  3. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For longer storage, wrap tightly and freeze for up to 2-3 months. Consider adding sautéed bell peppers or hot sauce for extra flavor.
