Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef along with the diced onion for about 5-7 minutes; drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk or beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- In your greased baking dish, combine the cooked rice, beef mixture, half of the shredded cheese, and the sauce until well mixed.
- Top with the remaining cheese, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden. For a crispy topping, broil it for an additional 2 minutes.
Notes
Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh green salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
