- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and nut butter, stirring until they form a creamy mixture.
- Add the rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt to the bowl. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.
- Transfer the mixture into your prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly, pressing down lightly to compact it.
- Bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center feels set.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
Notes
For a denser bar, blend the oats into a flour before adding. Experiment with spices or add-ins like shredded coconut, nuts, or dried fruit for personalization. To store, use an airtight container for up to a week or refrigerate. For longer storage, freeze individually wrapped bars.
